As senior vice-president, External Relations and Business Development, Janet is responsible for providing strategic direction and operational oversight to the leadership teams of Precertification Education, Member Development and Support, and Corporate Citizenship, to ensure high performance in the achievement of business objectives and initiatives.
Janet previously held the position of CPA Canada vice-president, Member Development and Support from January 2017 to April 2021. In this role, she led the Member Development and Support team in the development and delivery of relevant and high-quality products and services for members and other stakeholders. Janet is passionate about supporting members in their life-long learning and in finding opportunities to add value to their work and communities.
Prior to joining CPA Canada, Janet held positions with CMA Ontario and CPA Ontario as vice-president of Professional Development. During this time, she contributed to the unification of the three accounting bodies in Ontario and oversaw the post-certification programs and services at CPA Ontario. Janet also led the team that successfully provided the rights to CMA Ontario to license and govern its members for public accounting. In addition, she had the pleasure of serving as a moderator in the Strategic Leadership Program and enjoyed supporting students as they worked towards their designation.
Today, Janet sits on the Complaints and Investigations Committee for the Human Resources Professionals Association. She is also vice-chair of the Audit Committee of the Girl Guides of Canada.
 Linda Wyatt Linda has over 30 years' experience in both the public and private sector. Her previous experience includes retail, construction, and the energy industry, and for the past decade she has been committed to the effective leadership and financial management of not-for-profit organizations. Living in B.C., Linda currently works from home as the finance manager for a large medical clinic in downtown Calgary.
Linda has been a volunteer with the CPA Canada Financial Literacy program for the past three years.
