Joe studied Computer Information Systems at Indiana University and started his career with Eli Lilly and Company within Information Systems. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Joe later joined B2B startup Mezzia, Inc. focusing on infrastructure design and system management. Then in 2001, he moved to Jacksonville, FL from Indianapolis, IN and entered the physical security technology vertical managing and designing solutions for the US Government and multiple corporations across the United States.
Joe joined Nemours in 2011, and still loves learning about new technologies and helping associates across all clinical and non-clinical areas in finding new innovative solutions to help provide better care for all children. He is a member of the Nemours Enterprise Innovation Committee and has contributed to multiple online publications and case studies. In his free time, Joe plays bass and helps other local artists with audio recordings and customized amplified sound configurations.

Paul has 26 years of experience in local and college campus law enforcement and served as Chief of Police for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center overseeing police, security and emergency management. Among his many commendations in law enforcement are the Massachusetts Police Council Exceptional Service Award for Bravery, the Westford/Littleton Elks Top Cop, and MIT Officer of the Year.
Mr. Baratta is an active member of many healthcare associations. He is the Chair of the Healthcare Working Group for SIA, a member of the ASIS Healthcare Advisory Boards, ASIS Boston Chapter Treasurer, and serves on the Membership Board of IAHSS.
As the Business Development Manager for Healthcare for Axis Communications, Inc., Paul is responsible for developing strategies and building channel relationships to expand Axis’ presence in healthcare markets.
