Risk management professionals involved with cannabis organizations must be aware of the specific legal requirements regarding safety and security in this sector, including security technology, employee checks, and visitor and inventory requirements. This webinar will cover additional, and often overlooked, security risks and mitigation strategies for cannabis businesses, including vaults and storage, guards and transportation. Aside from legal requirements, to construct and provide a mature security and risk management program for a cannabis business, stakeholders must consider other unique and inherent business risks, including product and property safety and security, worker safety, and environmental, social and cybersecurity issues. Learning Objectives:
- Consider the legal requirements for cannabis businesses in regards to security technology, and employee, visitor and inventory safety and security.
- Outline the biggest mistakes or risks that security management often overlook in this sector.
- Create a holistic risk management program, focusing beyond legal security requirements.
- Identify cannabis business risks that could affect an organization’s people, environment, reputation, and — ultimately, business resiliency.
