Why Do Advanced Ceramics Matter in the Design of Major and Portable Household Appliances?

On Demand Until October 23, 2019

Duration:60 minutes

Abstract:

Consumers have high expectations of the household appliances they use daily at home and work.  Both major and portable appliances such as stoves, heaters, coffee machines, blenders, and HVAC equipment need to deliver reliable, low-maintenance performance over a long life span.

At this webinar, you’ll learn how engineered ceramics can help appliances work more efficiently and reliably. You will see ways engineered ceramics address the needs of high-performance consumer and household appliance components through benefits including:

  • Temperature resistance
  • Electrical resistance
  • Energy efficiency
  • Corrosion & wear resistance

We will also explore some current ceramic component applications and discuss technical ceramic design for manufacturing to improve today’s appliance designs.
