Matt Komos

Matthew Komos leads financial services research and consulting in the U.S. and is charged with providing insights and exploring emerging trends in consumer credit. He has over 20 years of experience in lending, with a focus on risk management, growth dynamics, customer profitability, and analytically derived solutions across the full consumer lifecycle. He also has extensive experience in the business lending arena. Komos has worked within and consulted for some of the largest financial institutions in the world, as well as various startup consulting and lending firms, where he’s leveraged empirically-based solutions to solve complex business problems.
Komos earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in mathematics from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and a master’s degree in applied statistics from DePaul University. He’s a member of the Risk Management Association and teaches statistics at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Dan Simmons
Senior Director, Financial Services Research & Consulting

Dan Simmons is Senior Director of Consulting – Financial Services at TransUnion. He’s responsible for providing insights on consumer credit risk management and recent trends in the lending industry.
With nearly two decades experience in financial services, Simmons spent 12 years working on consulting projects in domestic and international locations (India, Israel, South Africa, United Kingdom and Vietnam) prior to joining TransUnion in Jan. 2020. In addition to his project work, his background includes directing fraud, collections, customer service and vendor management operations for credit card, retail, powersport and student loan portfolios. Simmons has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Northern Illinois University.
Chris Huszar
Senior Manager, Financial Services Research & Consulting

Chris Huszar is responsible for providing insights and thought leadership on consumer credit trends. He has over nine years of experience working in various risk management roles at Northern Trust and BMO Harris Bank. Huszar holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree in analytics from the University of Chicago.
