 Ed Meyercord President and CEO Extreme Networks Mr. Meyercord serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Extreme. He joined our Board of Directors as an independent director in October 2009 and has served as Chairman since March 2011. Prior to assuming an operating role at Extreme, Mr. Meyercord was Chief Executive Officer and Director at Critical Alert Systems, LLC, a software-driven, healthcare information technology company, that he co-founded in July of 2010. Previously, Mr. Meyercord served as CEO, President and Director of both Cavalier Telephone & TV, a privately held voice, video and data services company with an extensive fiber network; and Talk America, Inc., a publicly traded company that provided phone and internet services to consumers and small businesses throughout the U.S. Mr. Meyercord was also a Vice President in the investment banking division of Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup). He previously served on the board of Tollgrade Communications, Inc.
 Rémi Thomas Chief Financial Officer Extreme Networks Rémi Thomas is the Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he oversees Extreme’s worldwide financial planning, analysis, accounting, reporting, and internal auditing procedures, and supports investor relations. Rémi has 25+ years of global finance experience. Prior to joining Extreme, he served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller at CA Technologies, where he led the organization in the preparation of financial statements, financial reports and SEC and Regulatory filings, and provided executive leadership on all operational accounting activities. Rémi has also served as Vice President of Finance at HPE Software, a business unit of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and worked for Alcatel-Lucent– mostly in Paris and Shanghai – in various finance leadership roles including CFO for Enterprise and Strategic Industries, CFO for APAC, CFO for Wireless Networks and finally, head of M&A and Corporate Development.
He has a Master of Business Administration from University of Warwick in the UK, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Toulouse Business School in France.
 Norman J. Rice, III Chief Operating Officer Extreme Networks Norman leads the company’s product operations inclusive of Product Life Cycle, Global Supply Chain Management and Operations; Hardware Engineering; Information Technology and PMO; Global Marketing; and Corporate M&A and business partnerships. In addition, Norman is the Executive Sponsor for the Sports and Entertainment industry and the company’s National Football League (NFL) partnership.
Prior to Extreme, Norman worked in private equity as an operating partner with Marlin Equity, as managing director for New Castle Capital group and had management roles in technology firms CA (NASDAQ: CA), Concord Communications (Acquired by CA), Aprisma Management Technologies (Acquired by Concord), HoustonStreet Exchange and MicroStrategy (NASDAQ: MSTR). Previously, Norman was a Director on the Boards of DSP Group (NASDAQ: DSPG) and NitroSecurity (Acquired by McAfee) as well as on the Advisory Board of vKernel (Acquired by Quest Software). Norman holds a master’s degree in management and an MS in Engineering, both from Dartmouth College where he was a Scoville Fellow and Woodhouse Scholar award winner; as well as a BS from the University of Michigan.
 Nabil Bukhari Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer Extreme Networks Nabil serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer. In his role, Nabil leads the vision, strategy, execution and delivery of Extreme’s suite of differentiated products and technologies, driving an ever-improving experience for customers and end users to further the success of Extreme’s portfolio and accelerate innovation in the entire networking sector.
As a global authority in technology and portfolio strategy, Nabil is a frequent guest columnist for Forbes magazine and speaker at international summits. He often speaks about the role of cutting-edge technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence in networking, and his deeply held philosophy around the democratization of technology.
Nabil joined Extreme as part of the Brocade acquisition, he has more than 20 years of experience within the technology sector, in various capacities like sales, engineering, product management and cloud operations. Prior to Extreme, he held key leadership roles at various companies including Cisco, Seagate, SonicWall and Riverstone Networks. He retains a degree in Engineering as well as a MBA from London School of Economics, NYU Stern and HEC Paris.
 Katy Motiey Chief Administrative and Sustainability Officer Extreme Networks Katy Motiey serves as the Chief Administrative and Sustainability Officer at Extreme. She has over 25 years of global legal and employment law experience encompassing corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, debt restructuring, commercial contract negotiation and licensing, patent and trademark portfolio management, IP litigation, IPO process management, corporate sustainability, as well as real estate, facilities and employment matters.
Motiey has developed a deep understanding of HR matters as a result of her previous in-house positions. She has been a driving force in building Extreme’s Women’s Leadership Council, started in 2018. She is also the corporate sponsor for Extreme’s partnership with the American India Foundation, a non-profit organization that is devoted to accelerating social and economic change in India. Additionally, Motiey spearheaded our deployment of Bloom Energy, which has created significant cost savings and reduced our carbon emissions in California and was at the forefront of adding Social Responsibility to our Corporate Governance charter in fiscal 2020.
Prior to Extreme, Motiey was Corporate Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary at Spansion. Prior to that, she was General Counsel & Secretary as well as VP of HR at InvenSense, and General Counsel & Secretary Magellan Navigation & Ashtech, and Maple Optical Systems, as well as being Senior Corporate Counsel at Alta Vista. She began her career as a law clerk to the late Judge Manuel Real, who was then the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California, followed by time as an associate at Skadden, Arps, a New York-based law firm.
Motiey holds a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.
 Joe Vitalone Chief Revenue Officer Extreme Networks Joe Vitalone is Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, he oversees global sales, services, channel, and sales operations teams. His primary responsibilities include driving sales productivity and helping to grow Extreme’s market share, revenue, and partnerships.
Joe has more than 35 years of experience in sales, marketing, and operations management. Prior to joining Extreme, he served as EVP and President, Americas Sales and Services for Mitel, and Vice President of Sales and Worldwide Channel Marketing at ShoreTel (later acquired by Mitel). Joe helped these companies reach their all-time stock market and 52-week high. Joe was most recently Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Jemez Technology, where he drove the growth and success of global sales and marketing programs, ensuring that initiatives from both departments were integrated and driving toward the same overall goal of increasing revenue. Previously, Joe served as Chief Marketing Officer at Arrow Systems Integration, now ConvergeOne, and Chief Marketing Officer at Razberi Technologies. A technology and sales expert to his core, Joe started his career in sales working for companies including AT&T and Polycom. Joe graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations.
 Wesley Durow Chief Marketing Officer Extreme Networks Wes is responsible for driving Extreme’s global marketing initiatives to expand brand consideration levels and drive demand in a manner that directly contributes to the company’s growth objectives. He brings to Extreme unique category insights on cloud-based networking and communications for both enterprises and service providers, based on his deep experience enabling global companies to create and build sustainable and differentiated brands. Previously, Wes served as Chief Marketing Officer at Mitel where he oversaw their marketing, inside sales, channel program, and training functions. Prior to Mitel, Wes held the top marketing positions for Sonus Networks, Fonality, and Avaya. He also led marketing for Nortel’s enterprise division before it was acquired by Avaya. Wes started his career in advertising helping to build brands for market-leading companies, including American Airlines, NationsBank (now Bank of America), and GTE (now Verizon). Wes earned his master’s degree in Integrated Marketing from Northwestern University and his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa. In 2021, he was recognized by OnCon Icon Awards as a Top 10 Marketer. Wes is also a two-time gold Effie Award winner and a Mobius campaign award winner.
 Stan Kovler Vice President of Strategy and Investor Relations Extreme Networks Stan Kovler is Vice President of Strategy and Investor Relations. In his role he advises senior leadership on various strategic initiatives working directly under the CEO and in concert with the executive team. He was a key advisor to the Extreme senior leadership team on the acquisition of Aerohive Networks. As head of Investor Relations, Stan is also responsible for communicating Extreme’s strategy and value proposition to investors, analysts, and the greater Wall Street community.
Prior to joining Extreme, Stan was the Small / Midcap IT Hardware and Networking analyst at Citi Research covering stocks across Communications Equipment, Storage, and Consumer Technology sectors. In that role he was recognized as an Institutional Investor Magazine 2017 “Rising Star” in both the IT Hardware and Networking sectors. Prior to Citi Research, Stan worked on teams covering networking and telecom equipment at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Susquehanna. He started his career at Clearbridge Advisors, formerly Smith Barney Asset Management, on the buy-side.
Stan has an MBA from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree, with honors, from CUNY Baruch College.
