Carly received her BA in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Northern Colorado. In her role at Eagle County Public Health, where she’s been for the last 9 years, Carly oversees the operations and staff of three active senior sites and leads the County’s Aging Well Initiative work, which ties in to Eagle County’s Age-Friendly Community work in conjunction with AARP. Carly is passionate about working to decrease social isolation and helping older adults achieve happy, healthy and purposeful lives.
Bob Murphy

Bob Murphy has an extensive private and public sector background, including 22 years serving the residents of Lakewood, CO (pop. 150,000) as a Planning Commissioner, 1994-1999, City Councilor, 1999-2007 and Mayor, 2007-2015.
During his tenure in public service, Bob led Lakewood through many transformational projects, including the opening of Lakewood’s first hospitals, the city’s first light rail line, and the re-development of Belmar, turning a failed regional shopping mall into a vibrant mixed-use downtown.
He is a past chair of the 40-member Denver Metro Mayors Caucus, where he was instrumental in regional planning in the areas of housing, transportation and economic development.
Bob joined AARP as Colorado’s State Director in 2016. AARP is a non-profit, non-partisan organization with 38 million members nationwide, and nearly 700,000 members in Colorado.

Chad Federwitz, MA, MA

Chad is a social gerontologist and dementia care advocate, and is currently Manager of Senior Services for Pitkin County in Aspen, Colorado. He also serves as an adjunct faculty of
gerontology at Colorado Mesa University. In 2018, he was appointed to the Colorado Commission on Aging, by Governor Hickenlooper and continues to be an advocate for older adults particularly in rural Colorado.
