Franchon Heyward is a Technologist for the Systems & Ingredient Solutions technical service team at Ingredion with 11 years of experience supporting customer-driven projects. She enjoys engaging with customers on creative new product development initiatives, applying her ingredient expertise to troubleshoot existing food and beverage products, and educating customers on innovative ingredient solutions for various food applications. As a cross-functional team member, Franchon collaborates with sales, marketing and applications to develop new business opportunities and deliver against key global and regional business initiatives. Franchon is completing a Master of Science degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Illinois, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Diana Nieto

Senior Business Development Manager, Starch-Based Texturizers


Diana Nieto is a Senior Business Development Manager at Ingredion for the Starch-Based Texturizers portfolio. She has been with Ingredion for eight years, starting in the technical service team supporting various accounts and as a Senior Strategic Marketing Manager for texture. She recently started in the business development role supporting the growth of the platform. Diana got her degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Business from Los Andes University in Colombia, and her masters degree in Food Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA.

Carolyn Phillips

Market Insights Manager North America


Carolyn Phillips has a long tenure in market research and consumer insights with a focus on custom research. At Ingredion, she leads the market insights function for North America, partnering with the marketing and strategy teams among others to build Ingredion’s knowledge and expertise about the markets we serve with an emphasis on the consumer. Prior to joining Ingredion, Carolyn held market insights roles on the supplier side and the client side with responsibility for delivering strategic and actionable insights to inform business decisions and guide consumer strategy. She has experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical, CPG and B2B space. She holds an MBA from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
