Roger G. Ibbotson is Professor in the Practice Emeritus of Finance at Yale School of Management. He is also chairman of Zebra Capital Management, LLC, an equity investment, index, and hedge fund manager. He is founder, advisor and former chairman of Ibbotson Associates, now a Morningstar Company. He has written numerous books and articles including Stocks Bonds Bills and Inflation with Rex Sinquefield (updated annually) which serves as a standard reference for information and capital market returns. Professor Ibbotson conducts research on a broad range of financial topics, including popularity, liquidity, investment returns, mutual funds, international markets, portfolio management, and valuation. He has recently published Popularity: A Bridge between Classical and Behavioral Finance and Lifetime Financial Advice. He has also co-authored The Equity Risk Premium with William Goetzmann and two books with Gary Brinson, Global Investing and Investment Markets. He is a regular contributor and editorial board member to both trade and academic journals. Professor Ibbotson serves on numerous boards including Dimensional Fund Advisors’ funds. He frequently speaks at universities, conferences, and other forums. He received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Purdue University, his MBA from Indiana University, and his PhD from the University of Chicago where he taught for more than ten years and served as executive director of the Center for Research in Security Prices.
Bud Haslett, CFA

Bud Haslett, CFA, is Executive Director of the CFA Institute Research Foundation and holds masters degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University. Mr. Haslett previously served as director of option analytics for Miller Tabak + Co., LLC and spent two decades on the options trading floor, where he managed portfolios of stocks and options. He previously served as a board member of CFA Society of New York, chairman of the Board of Regents for the CFA Institute Seminar for Global Investors, and president of the CFA Society of Philadelphia. He was an active volunteer for CFA Institute, having served in a variety of capacities, including CFA exam grader and member of the Council of Examiners. Mr. Haslett has also taught coursework on options at New York University, Johns Hopkins, and Rutgers. He is the founding chairman of the Derivatives Committee for the CFA Society of New York and was a member of the Institutional Investor Advisory Committee for the Chicago Board Options Exchange. He has conducted option presentations and workshops at more than 50 CFA Institute societies around the globe.
Joanne M. Hill, Ph.D.

Joanne Hill has over 30 years of experience in leadership roles in investment strategy at investment banks and asset managers with a focus on index and quantitative products, derivatives, along with volatility and risk management. She currently serves as Chief Advisor for Research and Strategy at Cboe Vest, a fund manager, specializing in option-based investments. Prior to these roles, she was Head of Institutional Investment Strategy at ProShares, and also spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs, where she was a Managing Director leading global equity index and derivatives research and advising institutional investors on index and risk management strategies. She is a recipient of the William F. Sharpe Indexing Lifetime Achievement Award and has published extensively on quantitative investment topics, index products, and derivatives. Joanne is a co-author of A Comprehensive Guide to Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) published by the CFA Institute Research Foundation. She was one of the ten inaugural recipients of the Top Women in Asset Management Awards. She serves on the Board of Governors of the CFA Institute, as Chair of the CFA Institute Research Foundation Board, and on the Board of the 'Q' Group (Institute for Quantitative Finance). She was a Founding Member and the first Co-President of Women in ETFs. She also serves on the Advisory Council and Editorial Board of the Financial Analysts Journal. Prior to her career on Wall Street, she was on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts (Amherst). and is currently an Adjunct Professor at College of Charleston. She has a Ph.D. in Finance and M.B.A, from Syracuse University, an M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University, and graduated with honors from American University’s School of International Service.

Matt Moran is Head of Index Insights at Cboe Global Markets. In this role, Moran is focused on the exchange's educational efforts for pension funds, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), mutual funds, and other institutional investors. He has traveled to more than 100 cities worldwide to educate investors and deliver financial presentations. Prior to joining Cboe, Moran served as Trust Counsel at Harris Bank and Vice President at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He is an associate editor of The Journal of Beta Investment Strategies and has written articles for several financial publications, including The Journal of Trading and The Journal of Alternative Investments. Moran holds MBA and JD degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
