Abstract:
During this webcast session we will show how IBM DevOps and open source tools like Git and Jenkins help the continuous integration, continuous testing, and continuous delivery on the z/OS space. The scenario we will present is a COBOL/CICS/DB2 application that is broken. The developer uses IBM DevOps tools to find the broken code, fix it and compile/link/bind using a new technology that integrates with Git and Jenkins on z/OS. Once the code is fixed the developer push the changes to GIT repository.
On the continuous delivery space, we will demonstrate Jenkins integrated IBM tools (like Urban Code Deploy) building and deploying to a CICS test environment. Our scenario uses a COBOL/CICS program as an example, but the process is similar to other environments or languages like Batch or IMS or PL/1.
