Managing Flow Through Domestic Hot Water Systems While Performing Thermal Disinfection

Start Date:4/26/2022

Start Time:10:00 AM CDT

Duration:60 minutes

Abstract:

Confusion and uncertainty are prevalent in the plumbing design community regarding the best approach to controlling the thermal disinfection process. Thermal disinfection is used to mitigate Legionella in domestic hot water recirculation systems, especially in occupied healthcare facilities. This webinar introduces two potential approaches, using valving and control components to address this issue. Automated solutions such as these will significantly help to minimize down time and resources while maintaining a safe environment. These methods can also facilitate a more standardized approach for addressing this problem.

This presentation in an ASPE CEU presentation. Attendees can earn 0.1 CEUs.
