Sanjay Mehrotra

President and Chief Executive Officer

Sanjay Mehrotra is president and chief executive officer at Micron Technology. Mr. Mehrotra joined Micron in May 2017, after a long and distinguished career at SanDisk Corporation where he led the company from start-up in 1988 until its eventual sale in 2016. In addition to being a SanDisk co-founder, Mr. Mehrotra served as its president and CEO from 2011 to 2016, overseeing its growth to an industry-leading Fortune 500 company. Prior to SanDisk, Mr. Mehrotra held design engineering positions at Integrated Device Technology, Inc., SEEQ Technology and Intel Corporation. Mr. Mehrotra earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley and is a graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program (SEP). He served on the board of directors of Cavium, Inc., from 2009 to 2018. Mr. Mehrotra holds more than 70 patents and has published articles in the areas of nonvolatile memory design and flash memory systems.

Sumit Sadana

Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer

Micron Technology

Sumit Sadana is executive vice president and chief business officer at Micron Technology. He is responsible for all business units in the company and the company P&L. The business units are responsible for driving revenue and profitability and for positioning the company for success through strategic partnerships with customers. Business units are also responsible for product roadmap definition and aligning company R&D initiatives with market and customer requirements. Mr. Sadana is also responsible for the company’s strategy and corporate business development, global communications, and marketing, global government affairs, as well as Micron Ventures (Micron’s venture capital investment arm). Mr. Sadana joined Micron in 2017. Mr. Sadana has over 30 years of technology industry experience, in roles ranging from hardware and software design, CTO, operations management, strategy and corporate development and P&L management. He has previously served in management and executive roles at IBM, Freescale, and most recently SanDisk, where he was the executive vice president, chief strategy officer and general manager of enterprise solutions. Mr. Sadana has completed approximately $40 billion of M&A in his career. Mr. Sadana earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He also serves on the board of directors of Silicon Laboratories (NASDAQ: SLAB) as the lead independent director.

Manish Bhatia

Executive Vice President, Global Operations

Micron Technology

Manish Bhatia is the executive vice president of Global Operations at Micron Technology. He is responsible for driving the vision and direction for Micron’s end-to-end operations. Mr. Bhatia joined Micron in 2017. Mr. Bhatia most recently served as the executive vice president of Silicon Operations at Western Digital Corporation. Prior to that, Mr. Bhatia held several executive roles at SanDisk Corporation and was the company’s executive vice president of Worldwide Operations when it was acquired by Western Digital. Prior to SanDisk, Mr. Bhatia’s career included positions at Matrix Semiconductor, McKinsey & Company and Saint Gobain Corporation. Mr. Bhatia earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, which he attended as a Leaders for Manufacturing fellow.

Scott DeBoer

Executive Vice President, Technology and Products

Micron Technology

Scott DeBoer is executive vice president of Micron’s Technology and Products organization. Dr. DeBoer leads Micron’s global technology development and engineering efforts – from silicon design to innovative, high-value system solutions. Micron’s technology and products organization focuses on delivering memory solutions by advancing the scaling of current memory technologies, enablement of new memory technology, and integration into memory solutions covering all Micron target markets. The organization encompasses the full innovative capabilities of Micron’s engineering teams from silicon technology development, product engineering, memory design and systems engineering, to SSD engineering, firmware and ASIC development. He was appointed to his current position in 2019. Dr. DeBoer joined Micron in 1995 as a process technology engineer and has served in a variety of technical and managerial positions leading up to his appointment as vice president of Process R&D in 2007, executive vice president of Technology Development in 2017, and executive vice president of Technology and Products in 2019. He currently serves on the governing council of JUMP/nCORE Research Initiative, and the boards of Hastings College, EUV LLC, and Micron Semiconductor Italia S.r.l. Dr. DeBoer completed his undergraduate degree at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. He earned a master’s degree in physics and a doctorate in electrical engineering from Iowa State University.

Mark Murphy

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Micron Technology

Mark Murphy is executive vice president and Chief Financial Officer at Micron Technology. He is responsible for overseeing all financial functions including tax, treasury, internal audit, and investor relations. Mark joined Micron as CFO in April 2022 and was previously executive vice president and CFO of Qorvo, a leader in wireless technologies serving smartphone, defense, Wi-Fi, automotive and broad IoT markets. He has over two decades of financial and operational leadership at global companies of scale including Delphi Automotive, Praxair, and MEMC Electronic Materials and has deep experience in semiconductor materials and device manufacturing, semi capital equipment, and automotive electronics. Mark is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and holds an MBA from Harvard University and Bachelor of Science in Business from Marquette University. Mark will be joining Micron in this role on April 18, 2022.
