2023 State of the Industry: Snack and Bakery

Christine Cochran officially became SNAC International’s President & CEO on April 1, 2022. Cochran served as Executive Director of the Grain Foods Foundation for the past 9 years. Previously, she was President of the Commodity Markets Council, having been promoted to that position in 2010, after leading the organization’s government affairs program. She holds a juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center and a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Missouri.

As leading CPG industry thought leader, Sally Lyons Wyatt is a go-to expert and frequent keynote speaker on a multitude of food and beverage topics. She is frequently quoted about the latest trends and insights in national business media outlets, such as The Wall Street Journal, CNBC and leading CPG trade media publications. In her role as EVP and Practice Leader for Circana’s Global Consumer Packaged Goods division, Sally drives integrated client initiatives and manages Circana’s center store and produce account teams. She has more than 25 years of industry expertise in partnering with Fortune 500 clients and leverages big data to optimize a wide range of strategies – from consumer and media to merchandising and supply strategies. Sally is a “Top Women in Grocery” recipient and a proud executive sponsor of Circana’s Early Career Professionals Business Resource Group.

Melissa Altobelli is a Client Insights Principal in Circana’s Dairy and Bakery Vertical with 25 years of CPG experience. Her expertise includes developing high performance teams, delivering actionable insights, and partnering with clients on key growth initiatives. She has extensive experience specifically working with bakery manufacturers, bringing thought leadership and innovative solutions. She also regularly participates in bakery industry webinars and is quoted in leading bakery industry publications.

Eric is the wholesale baking industry’s chief advocate and spokesperson, bringing his decades of experience, knowledge of policy, and meaningful relationships to promote and protect the interests of businesses in the wholesale baking sector. A veteran of Capitol Hill, serving two stints as Chief of Staff and Counsel to Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC), Eric also was a practicing attorney and law clerk to the late South Carolina Circuit Judge Marc Westbrook. Mr. Dell is a South Carolina native with a degree in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the Johns Hopkins University – Carey School of Business.
