Eric Gantwerker, MD, MMSc (MedEd), FACS is a practicing academic pediatric otolaryngologist. At Level Ex, he leads the company’s medical and educational strategy, directs CME and product development, oversees efficacy studies and manages the company’s robust physician advisory board as well as relationships with hospitals, institutions, societies and organizations. Eric holds a MMSc in Medical Education from Harvard Medical School and an MS in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University. He specializes in applying the cognitive science of learning, motivational theory and educational technology to medical education and speaks both nationally and internationally on these topics.

Shraddha Desai, MD, FAAD

Adjunct professor of dermatology, Loyola University

Dr. Shraddha Desai is a board-certified dermatologist at the Dermatology Institute in Naperville and holds an adjunct professorship at Loyola University in Maywood, IL. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Illinois – Urbana, followed by medical school at Rush University in Chicago, IL. After dermatology residency at Loyola University Medical Center, she completed a cosmetic and dermatological surgery fellowship at SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, MA. She has written several journal articles and book chapters, and has presented at national meetings. Her main areas of interest are laser rejuvenation and non-invasive body contouring.

Jason has over two decades of experience leading creative teams. At Level Ex, he employs game design methodologies, honed through extensive experience in the consumer games industry, to capture the greatest challenges of medical and surgical procedures as video game mechanics. Jason has worked on nearly every aspect of third and first-person action game design at studios such as Ubisoft (For Honor, Far Cry, Ghost Recon), ArenaNet (Guild Wars 2), Activision (Call of Duty, X-Men), and Electronic Arts (James Bond, Lord of the Rings). Through his work, he has developed “Engines of Play,” a model of player motivation used across the industry to inform and optimize game design.
