Abstract:
Homeowner concerns with the health of the air their families breathe have never been more significant. Ever-more tightly built homes are energy efficient but don’t allow for natural air changes experts now understand that improving ventilation is an important strategy to reduce the number of viruses and other unhealthy particles in our homes. This session will cover ventilation fan basics, including powerful yet quiet spot ventilation for bathrooms and kitchens, a brief look at ventilation codes and standards, and the three types of whole-home ventilation, along with the pros and cons of each.
