National Insider Threat Task Force
Charles Margiotta is an FBI Special Agent appointed as the Director of the National Insider Threat Task Force in January 2020. He leads the US Government-wide implementation of Executive Order 13587 to collaborate with over 90 Executive Branch departments and agencies in implementing their insider threat programs, and sharing best practices and lessons learned with industry partners, allied nations, and others.
Director Margiotta previously served as a Deputy Assistant Director in the FBI’s Security Division. He entered duty on 26 October 1996. Upon graduation from Quantico, Director Margiotta was assigned to the Washington Field Office (WFO), conducting espionage investigations.
Daniel McGarvey

Daniel McGarvey is the Senior Principal Business Process Analyst for Alion Science and Technology and is responsible for providing executive consulting in strategic planning for CI/Security programs supporting government and industry.
He is the former Senior Consultant for Suitability and Security Clearance Performance Accountability Council, Program Management Office (SSCPAC/PMO). While there, in addition to developing the behavioral model for Personnel Vetting, he provided guidance to the PMO on how activities may be interpreted by stakeholder agencies and industry.
He is a retired member of the Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service, as the Director, Information Protection, Office of the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.

Huth’s career experience spans analytics, big data, data integration and authentication in a variety of technology companies from startups to large corporations. He has a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Colorado, and a master’s degree in applied physics from Johns Hopkins University.

Jonathan McDonald leads TransUnion’s Public Sector business which provides a suite of mission-critical solutions to help U.S. federal, state and local government agencies manage risk and reduce costs. He has hands-on experience managing large technology programs within various government agencies.
At the state level, McDonald headed a number of programs focused on entity verification, non-obvious relationship analytics, fraud detection and investigations solutions. He's a former U.S. Marine, holds a bachelor's degree in statistics and technology and an MBA from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business.
