Abstract:
Most of us have a soft spot for our fur babies, that love extended to the ones that we don’t get to and shouldn’t be petting, like bison, elk and black-footed ferrets. Beyond our pets and the list of Colorado’s natives, parts of our state are being transformed into homes for exotic animals from beyond our borders, like lions and tigers and llamas and more. Join us for an examination of the furrier side of the state, from zoos to animal shelters to the Wild Animal Sanctuary and beyond. From the safety of your screen, you’ll learn that there’s a lot happening among our four-footed friends. You won’t even have to use a lint brush when we’re done! Give a howl and join us!

Kevin Snow Kevin Snow started his career as an ESL teacher. The last school he taught at worked with adult immigrants from more than seventy countries around the world. He began to show them around Denver, introducing them to their new homes, sharing his interest in history. When that school closed, he decided to continue as a tour guide, running Denver History Tours and now Treasure Box Tours. Today, Kevin leads tours around the metro area, the state and region, as well as two (so far!) trips out of the country. He may grow up one day, but for now there's too much fun to be had on the sidewalks (in person or electronically) of the city.
