Brett Phillips serves as Chief Financial Officer for the STO Building Group. Brett oversees all financial management and information technology functions for the company and has over 35 years of experience in construction and related professional services industries. Brett provides overall direction and leadership of all financial operations within the Structure Tone corporate structure, including financial projections, controllership and audit related areas. He is responsible for coordinating tax preparation and compliance in accordance with tax strategies developed and instituted by the corporation’s trusts and advisers. He is also responsible for managing the corporation’s financial management plans and policies in compliance with FASB, GAAP and governmental taxing authorities. Brett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Maryland. He is also a certified public accountant. Brett serves on the Advisory Board of Metro New York and Western New York Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Michael McLin

Michael McLin is the Managing Director at Maxim Consulting Group responsible for leading the business and guiding the strategic direction. Michael works with construction related firms of all sizes to evaluate business practices and assist with management challenges. Having worked in the industry, Michael has developed a practical and objective perspective to solving business challenges. Areas of specialization include: organizational assessments, strategic planning, project execution, productivity improvement, prefabrication, peer groups, and training programs. Mr. McLin is a nationally recognized, dynamic public speaker and published author. Michael is also an experienced peer group manager having consistently run groups whose membership represents some of the largest, most sophisticated contractors in the U.S. He has led electrical, mechanical, dry wall, fire protection, and heavy-civil and general contractor peer groups - both union and non-union. With expertise in many facets of the business, Michael is adept at utilizing tools and analysis available to the peer groups to identify opportunities and challenges within an organization. His structured approach to running peer groups ensures all members have an opportunity to learn and grow. Mr. McLin’s experience in the construction industry spans nearly two decades. He has worked for various contractors as a laborer, operator, CDL driver, foreman, estimator, asset manager, assistant project manager, project manager, and project executive. His project experience includes some of the most complex construction projects undertaken in the U.S. with nearly eight years on Boston’s $14.6BB Central Artery / Tunnel Project.
Sean Calvert

Mr. Calvert is a partner with Calvert Menicucci, P.C. where he practices exclusively in the area of construction law. He received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Santa Clara University and is admitted to practice in New Mexico and California. He is a member of the New Mexico State Bar, California State Bar, and American (Tort and Insurance Practice Section, and Forum on the Construction Industry) Bar Associations. Mr. Calvert represents clients across all segments of the construction industry, including contractors, subcontractors, supplies, owners, developers, architects, engineers, governmental agencies, sureties and insurers. He also has served as counsel for the various trade associations, including acting as a board member for the New Mexico Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association and the Associated General
Contractors. Mr. Calvert is currently the vice-chair of the ConsensusDocs content committee. Mr. Calvert has been published on various copyright and construction issues and is a frequent lecturer on construction and technology topics.
