 Phil Goodwin Research Director, Infrastructure Systems, Platforms and Technologies Group IDC Phil Goodwin is a Research Director within IDC’s Enterprise Infrastructure Practice, covering research on data management. Mr. Goodwin provides detailed insight and analysis on evolving industry trends, vendor performance, and the impact of new technology adoption. He is responsible for producing and delivering timely, in-depth market research with a specific focus on cloud-based and on-premises Data Protection, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, and Data Availability. Mr. Goodwin takes a holistic view of these markets, and covers risk analysis, service level requirements and cost/benefit calculations in his research.
 Steve Ricketts Product Marketing, IBM Storage IBM Steve Ricketts leads product marketing for IBM's modern data protection portfolio. Prior to IBM, Steve was a Senior Analyst with Taneja Group. In this role, Steve is responsible for analyzing the IT infrastructure market including storage, data protection, and cloud management. Formerly, Steve was Vice President of Marketing for Continuum and he launched Continuum's backup and disaster recovery business. Prior to Continuum, Steve was Vice President of Marketing at Akorri, a software company specializing in virtual storage management. Prior to Akorri, Steve was with IBM’s Software Group where he was the Program Director for WebSphere Portal. Before joining IBM, Steve was the Vice President of Marketing at Bowstreet (acquired by IBM). Prior to Bowstreet, Steve co-founded Nuance. Steve holds a BBA in Marketing from Iowa State University.
