Her background at Capital One was in Strategy, Analytics, and Corporate Innovation in the Financial Services sector, with a focus on emerging technologies. Annika holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from McGill University.

Kevin leads a multi-disciplinary investment team at Bluesky Equities, a Calgary based family office. Having seen hundreds of pitches and invested in dozens of early stage companies over the past 5 years, he is constantly searching out disruptive business models with sustainable competitive advantages. In addition, Kevin is a member of the Alberta Securities Commission’s New Economy Advisory Committee, providing insight into the challenges and benefits of new technologies in relation to the regulation of capital markets. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary’s University and is a CFA charterholder.

Randall Lucas

Randall focuses on new investments in Washington and British Columbia, primarily in the areas of analytics software and financial technology. He previously worked at Voyager Capital before leaving in 2010 to lead finance for Fund III portfolio company Lighter Capital, and returned as a full-time investor in 2017.

Kristina Milke

Kristina is the co-founder of Valhalla Private Capital and President of Valhalla Angels, one of Canada’s most active angel investing groups. She is also a mentor and a Board of Advisors for University of Alberta Venture Mentoring Services. Kristina is a CPA/Chartered Accountant with a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Alberta whose career has spanned over various industries. In 2012 she completed her role as General Manager of Investopedia where she oversaw all of its operations for 4 years. Kristina originally joined Investopedia in 2008 when it was still under the management of the original co-founders but owned by Forbes out of NY. Six months into her tenure with Investopedia, she accepted the role of general manager and then transitioned the organization towards focused growth. Kristina also assisted with the efforts in the marketing and sale of Investopedia to ValueClick in 2010. Prior to joining Investopedia, Kristina was the Corporate Divisional Controller for Intuit, Canada as well as the Divisional Controller and Ethics Officer for Spar Aerospace. In addition to her role with VA Angels, Kristina also has her own consulting practice that focuses on helping smaller organizations who need Finance and Business Advisory bench strength but are not yet ready for a full time CFO.
