Kay Milliner Kitchens

Kay Milliner Kitchens has 19 years of travel and tourism experience with the United States Virgin Islands. Kay began her career with the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism in 2003 as the department’s Regional Manager, Midwest. Kay spent several years in the Midwest market, growing the USVI market share in that area before transitioning to the position of Regional Manager, Atlanta in 2007. Kay remained in the position as Regional Manager, Atlanta until 2010, when she advanced to the Director of Sales role to serve as a key member of the executive team, developing targeted sales strategies for the USVI Department of Tourism. During her tenure, she has directed the North American sales team in the completion of objectives for targeting travel agents and consumers, set forth by the Commissioner of Tourism. She also works to formulate marketing strategies and relationships across various niche markets, essential to the increase of visitor air arrivals into the USVI. While serving as Director of Sales, Kay has developed growth in the luxury market by establishing and building relationships with luxury travel consortiums as well as the agents who are members of these consortiums. She has also revamped the USVI’s familiarization tour program, leading the destination to host hundreds of travel agents over the past seven years. Kay has also been instrumental in customer relationship management with the USVI Department of Tourism through the revamping of the USVI travel agent specialist program. The program now offers a more in-depth look at how selling key markets like weddings and honeymoons and family travel to the USVI can help travel agents grow their business. Kay currently resides in Atlanta with her husband and son and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia and a Master's in Business Administration from Walden University. A passion for travel led Denise to switch careers in 2007. She has worked in several different capacities for Palladium Hotel Group over the past 13 years and is currently the Director of Retail Sales in the USA. She is excited to meet and share her deep knowledge of the Palladium Hotel Group brands with travel professionals who share her passion for travel. Prior to joining Palladium Hotel Group, Denise taught Physical Education and Health, and holds a Master’s Degree in Education. She enjoys traveling, crocheting blankets for her family, reading and spending time with family and friends.
