Michael Fagan
Computer Scientist and Technical Lead

Michael Fagan is a Computer Scientist and Technical Lead with the Cybersecurity for IoT Program which aims to develop guidance towards improving the cybersecurity of IoT devices and systems. The program works within the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Information Technology Laboratory (ITL). Most recently, Michael leads the development of NISTIR 8259: Foundational Cybersecurity Activities for IoT Device Manufacturers, NISTIR 8259A: IoT Device Cybersecurity Capability Core Baseline, and the follow-on Federal Profile, including the material recently posted to GitHub. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering.
