FNCE® Code of Conduct

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all participants. All participants are expected to abide by the FNCE® Virtual Code of Conduct, including those held outside of the FNCE® platform (e.g. DPG/MIG events). The following behavior is deemed unacceptable:
  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
  • Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, Academy staff member, service provider, or other conference guest. 
    • Examples of verbal abuse include, but are not limited to, verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, or national origin.
In addition, attendees are asked to adhere to the following rules:
  • The recording or transmission of any education session, presentation, demo, video, Q&A, chat, or content in any format is strictly prohibited.
  • Disruption of presentations and virtual spaces throughout the meeting. 
  • Attendees should refrain from any promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services.
The Academy reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the meeting without warning or refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, and the Academy reserves the right to prohibit attendance at any future meeting, virtually or in person.
