Josh is a managing director with approximately 13 years of experience currently on rotation in our Department of Professional Practice (DPP). Since joining the firm in 2008, his experience has been focused on performing financial statement audit and audit of internal control services.
Josh serves as a technical resource for partners and professionals to interpret auditing, accounting, and regulatory standards as well as assists in the firms internal and external quality review programs. He assists with the development of the Firm’s audit methodology guidance, publications and tools as well as authoring and delivering training to the audit practice.
Prior to his rotation at DPP, Josh most recently was the lead audit senior manager of a Fortune 250 client in our Silicon Valley office and spent portions of his career in our Detroit, MI and Cleveland, OH offices.
Michael Kraehnke

Michael is an Audit Partner providing public accounting services since 1995. His client experience ranges from single location development stage entities to large multinationals including significant experience in international operations. He has served various industries primarily focusing on technology and telecommunications, manufacturing, and consumer products.
Michael has substantial experience with ongoing periodic reporting for publicly traded clients, and mergers and acquisitions. He is one of KPMG’s designated SEC Reviewing Partners, a select group of audit partners noted for attaining KPMG’s highest level of technical competence. Michael is also one of KPMG’s IFRS Reviewing Partners and he is KPMG’s National IFRS Practice Industry Leader for Technology, Media, Consumer Products, Life Sciences, and Pharmaceuticals.
Kathy Nguyen
Senior Manager

Kathy is an audit senior manager currently on rotation within our Department of Professional Practice.
Kathy has provided professional audit services to several large national companies in accordance with Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) requirements and US GAAP. She has extensive experience in the retail industry with nonfinancial asset impairment, business combinations, and lease accounting. Kathy also has significant experience on real estate technical accounting, including asset acquisitions and business combinations, asset impairment, and real estate sales.
She has a thorough understanding of SEC rules and regulations and has been involved in numerous debt and equity offerings.
