Abstract:

VMware Service Broker is the catalog and the governance layer of VMware Cloud Automation Services. Service Broker aggregates various types of cloud services and templates from multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS CloudFormation and Azure Resource Manager templates, K8S Helm Charts, vRO workflows)

Service Broker enables consistent, secure and controlled consumption of cloud resources with its access, lease, power schedule, naming, tagging, resource & cost policies.

During this webinar, we will provide an overview of Service Broker features, use cases and user benefits. We will also present a live demo where we will walk you through a real use case that highlights the products unique capabilities and value it can deliver for your organization.

Serdar Badem

Sr Product Line Manager – Cloud Management

VMware

Serdar spent most of his career in engineering and PM roles building Cloud & IT Operations Management products and services for the enterprise. He is part of the Cloud Automation Services product team leading Service Broker and VMC on AWS integrations with cloud management. Serdar’s areas of focus are Application Modeling & Deployment, Service Brokering, Governance, VMC on AWS and Simplified User Experiences in Cloud Management. Serdar earned his MBA focusing in Marketing and Strategy from UCLA Anderson School of Management. Serdar has an Undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Computer Science. Serdar enjoys playing with his two kids, hiking, biking and building mobile apps in his spare time.

Lefteris Marakas

Lefteris Marakas is a Product Marketing Manager in VMware’s Cloud Management Business Unit. During his time in VMware he has been driving messaging and positioning for VMware's cloud automation services. Before VMware Lefteris was a management consultant with McKinsey. He is passionate about trends that are shaping the future in the age of Clouds and has worked vastly on such topics as DevOps and programmable provisioning of workloads.

Colby Heiner

Colby Heiner is a senior product marketing manager focused on helping customers be more efficient and successful across their IT estates. He is currently focused on VMware’s newest SaaS services and over the past 4+ years has been responsible for the automation focused products (vRealize Automation, vRealize Code Stream, vRealize Orchestrator) and suites (vRealize and vCloud) in the Cloud Management group at VMware.

Hicham Mourad

Hicham (he-sham) Mourad is a Senior Technical Marketing Architect with VMware’s Cloud Management Business Unit (CMBU). Hicham has been in the software industry for over 20 years and for many of them focused on systems and operations management. Hicham previously worked at Symantec and Novell. Before working in the Software industry Hicham was an IT Business Analyst working in the Healthcare Industry. Hicham is a frequent presenter at VMworld, vForum, VMUG, VMLive, and Customer events.
