Based in Hong Kong, Francis Lau leads the development of financial services research for TransUnion’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, driving industry-relevant content to sales teams, clients, regulators, and external partners. Prior to joining TransUnion in 2019, Lau worked for a number of financial intuitions including; Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, CITIC Ka Wah Bank, and Morgan Stanley Capital, in a range of analytics, credit risk management and decision sciences roles. Lau also acted as a consultant to numerous banks and organizations on risk management and model development topics. Lau holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics and finance from The University of Hong Kong and a PhD from Hong Kong Baptist University.
